We understand the growing importance of balancing thermal comfort with noise control, particularly on sites affected by transportation and urban/suburban noise sources. Hepworth Acoustics has carried out Approved Document O (ADO) noise assessments for a wide range of developments, from individual dwellings all the way up to large-scale residential estates.
Hepworth Acoustics has wide experience undertaking noise assessments for renewable energy projects throughout the UK, including solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) developments. Noise sources to be considered include inverters and transformers within solar installations, as well as cooling systems and plant associated with BESS facilities.
Hepworth Acoustics brings extensive, hands-on experience in delivering high-quality noise assessments for new padel developments across the UK. Padel is a fast-growing sport, often introduced into mixed-use environments, or to existing sports clubs where managing noise impact is essential for gaining planning approval and maintaining positive community relations.
Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) commonly require developers to submit noise surveys and assessments for Section 38 & 278 agreements in respect of road traffic noise. We have all the necessary expertise, experience and resources to complete these assessments on behalf of our clients.
We carry out regular environmental compliance noise monitoring at a number of sites across the country. Compliance noise monitoring is often required for large developments to ensure noise emissions remain within limits set out in environmental permits, planning consents and/or lease agreements.
In our latest work with ITV, we assisted with the acoustic design and construction of two new studios and a new section of the iconic outdoor set at their existing Coronation Street production site at MediaCityUK.
We've worked with the Alchemist since the brand was established in 2011. One of their newest venues, located in a beautiful Grade II listed building in the heart of Liverpool, posed a particular acoustic challenge.
We helped PlayFootball with the planning and design of this new inner-city 3G/4G five-a-side football centre, in an acoustically challenging environment, surrounded by high-rise apartment buildings.
We are proud to have contributed to the rejuvenation of this wonderful grade II listed building in Manchester city centre.
The newly permitted Cardiff rehoming centre is the latest new development we've helped Dogs Trust with. The new centre will be a state of the art facility with world leading animal welfare standards.
