PPG 24: Planning and Noise

This document was produced by the then Department of the Environment in September 1994 to provide general guidance on both noise sensitive and noise generative developments, including draft planning conditions dealing with noise. The document introduced the concept of Noise Exposure Categories.

The document was replaced in March 2012 by the National Planning Policy Framework.
