Hepworth Acoustics provides consultancy services to deal with all environmental and building acoustics issues. We provide noise and vibration impact assessments for all types of planning applications. We carry out the assessments required for major transport developments and can represent your case at public inquiries. Once a building is built, we can carry out sound insulation testing to make sure it meets Building Regulations requirements. We also carry out troubleshooting on existing buildings and employee noise exposure assessments for industrial and entertainment premises. We are also involved in designing good acoustics for a wide range of developments such as auditoria, commercial and education buildings.

Much of the prediction work carried out by the company uses a variety of noise prediction software. These can be used to predict internal noise levels, sound transmission within buildings and external noise levels. Noise mapping has become an important part of acoustic consultancy work with the growing levels of concern within the EU about environmental noise levels. Hepworth Acoustics has been involved in the initial research and production of noise maps for large urban areas and main transport links.
